Ruebourdain history: Kuroro's involvement in the food industry began when he became an apprentice for Rukuso Valley, a very exclusive, family-run business whose specialty was primarily in home-cooked meals. He eventually acquired the secret recipes for himself and, with the non-family members of the staff, went off and made his own restaurant, the Ryuusegai.

His skills in management and the better location soon earned the new restaurant a good name, and he soon found himself with less and less challenging things to do. And so, leaving his business in the capable hands of his managers, he went off to find himself more interesting things to pay attention to. It just so happened that there were two restaurants seemingly in cutthroat competition with each other, and under the excuse of learning certain things from these establishments, entered the Cavallone as the new maitre'd.
